Reagan
Reagan said "mama."
I.love.this.child.
There is not much sweeter than your baby crawling over to you and pulling up on your leg only to then open that tiny mouth and say "mama."
Melt my heart!

Riding in the car...
Me: Sam, would you for Momma to have another baby some day? You could have a new brother or sister?
Sam: (looking very perplexed - turns to look at Reagan in her car seat) But Mamma, this sister is nice.
I was laughing so hard. He thought we'd have 'give Reagan back!'
I assured him that we would be keeping Reagan!!!
P.S. I just realized if you make this picture bigger you can see a booger in Sam's nose...that's life with a toddler for you! I'm leaving it. :)

More fun times with Sam....
This morning on the way out the door....
Sam: Hold me, Momma.
Me (holding Reagan): I can't right now Sam. I'm holding Reagan.
Sam: Why?
Me: Because Reagan is too little to walk. You are bigger and you can walk.
Sam: But Momma, she growing up!
lol...he's starting to put so much together. :)

Fun times with Sam
Last night we were sitting at the dining room table and Scott got a phone call on his cell phone. He got up to go outside to talk on the phone (because we can't get good coverage inside our home!!!) and Sam wanted to go out with him. We had the following conversation.
Sam: Momma, I want to go outside with Daddy.
Me: OK. Let me wash off your face.
Sam: Ray Ray go outside with Daddy?
Me: No, Reagan is too little. She needs to stay inside with Momma.
Sam: Only the big boys go outside?
Me: Yes, only the big boys go outside.
I open the door for Sam and he goes outside.
Sam to Scott: Hi, big boy!
This kid cracks me up!

Summer 2009
Lots of pictures below in no particular order showcasing our summer fun!
Reagan at 6 1/2 months - this smile will melt your heart! She is officially crawling and saying a couple words - "bubba" and sometimes "da da."

Watching fireworks with Momma in the car

We went to the aquarium and this is how Reagan enjoyed most of it!

We are now BIG fans of our local children's museum. Sam loved playing on the tree.

There is a mini HEB (grocery store) and he spent time carefully picking out the foods we would need for lunch.

The music room is a lot of fun. Sam took a turn showing off his skills on the piano.

I LOVE this one! Sam looking out the kitchen window.

We did a little photo shoot in the backyard. I thought Reagan's yellow dress would look neat with the green grass. I loved this shot. She is still such a happy, easy-going baby. Her personality is developing more and it's so fun just to watch her grow and change.

Every good photographer knows when to call it quits! This was our last shot. :)

Update - July 2009
We have survived RSV, pneumonia, virus', bacterial infections, and the SWINE FLU!!!! Dear Lord help us!
It started with Reagan and RSV and ended up with momma having the flu. Thank goodness Honey could come and help for a few days. I stayed in bed for three days and ultimately had a psychotic reaction to an antibiotic I was given and ended up in the ER. Not fun, people. Not fun at all!
Scott was a trooper. He and my mom cared for all of us. I do think the night he took me to the ER though I saw real fear in his eyes. I remember him saying to me that I couldn't check out on him because he needed me to help him raise these children!!!!
Today we are grateful for health.
We are also thankful for growth. Here's an update on the kids.
Samuel is a curious little monster. He is like a sponge right now soaking up things around him. His new favorite things to do are to watch baseball and golf. He will tell me "I watch Tiger Wood play golf, Mommy. He good." Everything is "mines" and he doesn't hesitate to assert his needs/wants. Bedtime is better and we are all grateful for that. He still loves on Reagan giving LOTS of kisses. At night he prays before our evening meal. Sam is very sensitive. I have noticed lately that he has a strong desire to please Scott and I and will look almost dejected if he senses that we are unhappy with him. Parenting right now involves a lot of postive feedback, high fives and hugs. He's wearing 3T shirts and 18 month pants (we have no bum to speak of!).
Reagan is our little doll. She is so good natured. She sleeps in her crib and I often wake to find her talking with herself. She has developed more of a personality these last few weeks and won't hesitate to help you know what she wants! Last week at church she cried in the nursery so they came and got me. I brought her up to our adult class and she was as content as could be to sit on my lap. Maybe she has a little bit of her mama in her, too! She's already thinking she's too big for that nursey! She is mesmerized by Sam. She laughs and giggles at almost everything he does. She's sitting up now, has two teeth, and about a day away from crawling. Last night she was able to get her arms and legs to work in the right order just briefly.
Baby #3 is...LOL...JUST KIDDING!!!!
Ok...I just had a mild heart attack thinking about baby #3. :)
